Caddy For A Cure
Caddy For A Cure

Caddy For A Cure
Caddy For A Cure offers the public the opportunity to experience a day “inside-the-ropes” at a PGA TOUR venue, caddying for a PGA TOUR player—with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. It’s a chance to walk the greatest courses in the nation, next to the greatest players and names in the world of golf, at a sanctioned PGA TOUR event. Caddying is an opportunity to gain insight into professional golf and its players that is unlike any other means. It’s a priceless opportunity to develop a relationship with one of the top players in the world while standing next to them as they hit shot after incredible shot.
The Caddy For A Cure experiences are sold through a variety of methods, each reaching a diverse and immensely large audience. Since its inception and as one of its primary selling methods, Caddy For A Cure has utilized eBay’s online auction platform with its charity-arm, MissionFish.org. Through eBay’s search engine, the Caddy For A Cure auctions have the potential to reach a worldwide audience of billions. Caddy For A Cure has also partnered with many public charity events in high-end private auctions, creating a winning opportunity for many and reaching audiences that are passionate about supporting their cause. Another sales method that Caddy For A Cure has developed is a Corporate Incentive Program. This program has great appeal as a customer appreciation and employee incentive opportunity and allows businesses to build loyalty in unique and creative ways that are otherwise unavailable.
The Caddy For A Cure program supports its charities by raising awareness and funds from inside-the-ropes PGA TOUR caddy experiences. The program funds are distributed equally between five separate entities, each receiving 20% of the distribution. They are: The Fanconi Anemia Research Fund; the Wounded Warrior Project; the PGA TOUR Caddy Benevolent Fund; the PGA TOUR Host Site Charity; and the PGA TOUR Player’s charity of choice. This funding distribution method has allowed Caddy For A Cure to contribute to hundreds of charities around the world, including some of the following:
- The Heritage Classic Foundation
- Search Ministries
- Houston Golf Association
- Camp Compass
- The Healing Place
- Cook Children’s Medical Center

HOW IT WORKS
The opportunity to have the day of your golf life by caddying for one of the world’s best golfers at an official PGA TOUR tournament venue is easy with Caddy For A Cure. Here’s how it works:
1. The best way to plan for your participation is to stay informed about which players are available at which PGA TOUR events. You can do this by signing up for our newsletters at Newsletter Sign-Up.
2. Once you know for whom and where you’d like to caddy, there are a couple of ways to proceed:
a) Click on the live auction link for that player from the Caddy For A Cure Home Page. This will take you to the auction in the eBay Caddy For A Cure Store where you can either:
i.) Buy It Now at the price listed; or
ii.) Make Your Best Offer.
b) You can also call or email us directly if you don’t see what you want or if you have questions at Contact Us.
3. Once you’ve purchased or won the caddy auction, here’s what you can expect:
a) We will contact you confirming that you won the auction. We will then follow-up with thorough details about the day such as what you’ll wear, tickets and parking for the event, when-where-who you’ll meet at the course, pictures, etc.
b) You will be asked to consent to a Terms & Conditions Agreement that covers information like ‘what-ifs’ and mutual liability issues (Terms & Conditions Agreement).
From there, GET READY TO HAVE THE DAY OF YOUR GOLF LIFE!!
We have set up a section for Frequently Asked Questions & Answers on our website that should help answer other immediate questions you may have, but feel free to contact us directly if your question is not covered (FAQs).

Play In a Charity Golf Event
5 Reasons to play in a charity golf event
1. Many Charity Events and non-profits registered with the government. Which makes your entry fee Tax Deductible! THAT MEANS FREE GOLF.
Update: We received credible information about how this works.
Legally you can only deduct the portion of the entrance fee which exceeds the normal cost of the round at that course. So, if you pay $100 to play in a charity event on a Monday, and that course usually charges $50 for a round of golf and $15 for the cart, you can only deduct the $35 difference. You can also deduct the cost of Mulligans and such, but not the cost of raffle tickets. Even then, it’s a tax deduction, not a tax credit.
2. You get peace of mind that you helped a needy cause and got to play golf.
3. One word COMPETITION.
4. Another word PRIZES.
5. Meet other golfers in your area and find a foursome!
To find a Charity Golf tournament in your area you can either search using the search box above or use the drop down box and browse by state.
If you know of an event that is not listed here, please send any info you might have to events@golfcharity.net

Golf Charity Marketing
Low cost ways to promote your event

Charity Golf
1. Submit your event to the Golf Charity Network by clicking the “Submit Event” button above.
2. Print fliers and distribute them at local golf courses on the weekends (Or whenever they have the greatest amount of play). We can help you develop a flier if you like. Contact Us.
3. Send a press release detailing your charity and your event to local TV, Radio, and Newspaper outlets.
4. Many of these outlets have community calendars of events happening in your area. Contact them to find out how to place your event on them.
5. Place your event in the “Events” section on Craigslist.com and the “Announcements” section on kijiji.com .
6. If you have a website submit it to www.dmoz.org directory and local directories for your area. Try searching “city name” and “directory”. (If you do not have a website, you can set one up for free at www.wordpress.com or contact us for help)
7. Submit your website to the Yahoo Directory. If you are a non-profit, this is free.
8. Visit local golf stores in the are and inquire about posting a flier inside or near the checkout area.
9. If you have a budget you should consider a small adwords budget. At an average of 10 cents a click it might be worth it.
10. If you are 501(c)3 Charity make sure to let everyone know that their entry fee is tax deductible.
11. Talk to other Charity Organizers and see if they want to create a JMP, Joint Marketing Program, this way the two or three or four of you can pool your resources and promote all of your events together!
If you have a method for marketing your event that has worked for you in the past and is not listed here, please share it with other event organizers by sending it to events@golfcharity.net
