After the tournament, guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. followed by a lavish buffet dinner featuring silent and live auctions, awards presentations and prize raffles. Several NFL celebrity guests will attend the Golf Classic in support of South Florida’s youth including tournament host Marshall Faulk (former St. Louis Rams and Indianapolis Colts all-pro running back, NFL Network analyst and NFL Hall of Fame inductee), Daryl Porter (Fort Lauderdale native and former Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans safety), Troy Drayton (Coral Springs resident and former St. Louis Rams and Miami Dolphins tight end), Michael J. Christian League for Battered Women, a/k/a Tranquility House is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization located in Cartersville, Ga. The shelter was founded in 1985 to shelter the victims of Domestic Violence. Over the years the needs of our community and state have vastly changed in regards to Domestic Violence which has impacted the services our shelter now provides. The mission of Tranquility House is to provide an emergency shelter as a refuge for victims of domestic violence and their children, a 24 hour crisis hotline, peer counseling, and children’s programs. We work hard to provide each family with the services needed to assist them during this difficult transition. Many women and children come to the shelter with little to no personal items. It is important to have the very basic necessities available for them. We hold this annual charity event every year as one of our fundraisers and to bring awareness of Domestic Violence. |

MAG America is pleased to announce the third annual MAG America Open Charity Golf Tournament to be held at the Greendale Golf Course, Alexandria, Virginia on Monday, June 11, 2012. The goal of this charitable event is to raise funds to help make the world a better and safer place for children to play, people to work and communities to grow without the fear of landmines. MAG America will use the proceeds from the inaugural event to support humanitarian efforts to clear landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) and/or destroy small arms and light weapons that jeopardize stability. MAG is one of the largest non-profit humanitarian organizations helping communities to recover from conflict by removing the threat from landmines, unexploded ordnance, and small arms and light weapons. MAG has worked in over 40 countries and in 1997 was co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. An added feature to our event in 2012 will be the inclusion of a number of & ldquo;Wounded Warriors” from the Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) as playing participants. We will hold a special contest to benefit these heroes. |

The proceeds of the 15th Annual Michael C. Rosano Invitational Golf Tournament, to be held on Sunday July 15th, 2012 at the Blue Fox Run Golf Course in Avon, CT, will benefit LifeChoice Donor Services. LifeChoice is a non-profit organ and tissue procurement organization dedicated to fostering community and professional support of organ and tissue donation, providing compassionate care for families, and saving and improving lives. Currently, more than 110,000 people are waiting for a life saving organ transplant. Unfortunately, many will die before they are able to get their transplant. In addition, the benefits of tissue donation and transplantation continue to grow each year. Last year over a 1,000,000 people benefited from tissue transplants. Education is a very important component to help people understand the need for organ and tissue donation and to encourage them to talk about donation with their family members. |

The Azalea Charities’ Aid for Wounded Warriors is a not-for-profit project that provides comfort and relief items for soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who are sick or injured as a result of their service in Iraq and Afghanistan. This project has been extremely beneficial in helping lift the spirits and morale of these brave service men and women who have served our country so courageously. For more information on Azalea Charities’ efforts, I encourage you to visit their website at www.azaleacharities.org. This country has historically answered the call to duty, and as a nation we have always rallied behind those who have served. This charity event is just a way for us to show our appreciation and hopefully make a difference in the lives of those who have given so much. This is how you can support: 1. Please consider participating in any of the available company sponsorship opportunities. Not only will you be contributing to AWS, but you will also be promoting your organization to executives, managers and others within the defense industry. 2. Please consider donating an item for our door prize giveaway or silent auction. Last year we gave away fantastic prizes, including restaurant gift certificates, sports apparel, golf clubs and electronics. 3. Please join us for the tournament! We welcome you to bring a team and join us for what will assuredly be a fun day. |

All funds raised will stay in Southern Nevada, benefiting our efforts in support of the Foundation’s mission. The disease of addiction affects more than twenty-three million Americans every year, with less than 10% receiving the help they need. Our programs, services, and trainings offer valuable prevention education for parents, open pathways for recovery, and promote recovery’s positive impact. Tournament tickets include your round of golf, golf cart, range balls and special awards luncheon at the gorgeous Red Rock Country Club. This is a fantastic opportunity to have an awesome day on the greens while making a difference in our community! |

For over 30 years, CURE Childhood Cancer Association has been providing emotional, educational, financial and social support for the area’s children and families who are fighting cancer. In recent years, due to improved rates of patient survival, CURE has been providing continued support for long-term survivors. The 10th annual CURE Kids Cancer Classic – on Friday, August 3rd, 2012 at Ravenwood Golf Club – will help enable CURE to continue its work for children and their families who face the medical challenge of a lifetime. “CURE Kids Cancer Classic represents a major step for CURE in its efforts to provide children and their families with support and advocacy as they fight this very difficult disease,” says Gary Siwicki, a member of CURE’s board of directors and chair of the golf tournament. “Thanks to our sponsors and supporters, and to the staff of Ravenwood Golf Club, we’ve put together a first-class event that will raise much-needed funds for CURE.” |

What is Academic Decathlon? Academic Decathlon is an an elite high school competition that includes a battery of ten tests: mathematics, economics, history, science, essay, interview, speech, art, music, and literature. Unlike other academic programs, Academic Decathlon teams are made up of A, B, and C students. The goal is provide a more holistic and advanced academic competition and to recognize students who push themselves far past the standard curriculum. Where does this money go? The money raised goes towards buying studying materials, books, quizzes, tests, food, transportation, and paying for registration fees for competitions. What is the course like? Diamond Oaks Country Club’s 18-hole championship golf course is one of the best layouts in the area. The course features a creek that meanders throughout the property and comes into play on six holes. Strategic bunkering and 100-year old oak tree lined fairways provide aesthetic beauty for members and guests. The golf course is named after a 150-year old Oak Tree that still resides on hole number 15. How do I pay? Please make checks payable to “RHS Academic Decathlon” and mail them to: RHS Academic Decathlon 5201 Holiday Lane North Richland Hills, TX 76180 All checks must be received by February 17, 2012. Upon receiving checks, we will e-mail a receipt and tax ID number for your records to the address provided above. Any other questions? | Greetings,Welcome to the Ducks Unlimited -
Brandywine Chapter’s 2nd annual Golf Classic and Auction at Bidermann. We are excited to continue this event as one of our fund-raising efforts and promise to deliver another memorable experience at one of the region’s most prestigious golf courses. Ducks Unlimited is the world leader in wetlands conservation having restored and conserved nearly 13 million acres of crucial habitat that benefits waterfowl, other wildlife and people. Through your generosity, the money raised at the golf classic will directly support wetland and marsh improvements in the important summer breeding lands to the North and the critical wintering grounds here in the Mid-Atlantic. Generous support for our local Ducks Unlimited chapters is the reason that Delaware continues to be one of the top ranked states in the country. In all, over 12,000 acres have been conserved within our State, ensuring healthy duck and wildlife populations for future generations. We hope that you’ll consider a sponsorship for what is certain to be the golf event of the season. By doing so, you’ll have the opportunity to both participate in a great event and support a great cause. Sincerely, Ducks Golf Classic Committee |

Latinas Leading Tomorrow (LLT) is a school based after school program established in 2004 in Arlington, Virginia. It was disigned to meet the students’ need to have a program that spoke to their particular concerns of young Latinas who are possibly the first in their families to attend college and may not have the support and knowledge of how to get there and graduate. Since 2004 the program has expanded to include all of Arlington’s comprehensive high schools as well as most middle schools in the county. In 2010 LLT expanded to include two chapters in Fairfax County and three chapters in Manor, Texas. LLT now serves over 300 students per year. Program alumni currently attend a variety of universities, including James Madison, George Mason, Mary Washington, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Marymount, Carnegie Mellon and Richmond University. These students return during their breaks to share their experiences with current LLT students. LLT is proud to have one of the founding high school students on its advisory board and assist in the coordination of LLT’s annual Latina power conference. |
