Charity Golf Tournaments and Golf Tournament Planning

Hello Everyone, I am the Founder of PINK4CHEE – PINK4CHEE was formed originally to raise funds solely for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer research. However, the need to provide an accessible funding resource for single mothers battling breast cancer became apparent after hearing heart-breaking stories of their financial struggles. Today, P4C focuses on support services that will alleviate the stress and hardships associated with managing a single parent household while undergoing cancer treatments.

On Oct 1st P4C will host our first Cancer Survivors Golf Tournament, this event is not only for breast cancer, but for everyone that has been impacted by cancer; breast, prostate, cervical, uterine, lung, colon, etc.

The TPC Wakefield Plantation event costs $500 to enter per two-person team ($250pp). This includes the golf, cart, lunch and tournament gifts. Participants will be competing for the chance to qualify for the Grand Finale which will be hosted by Ernie Els in Las Vegas on 23/24 October. Grand Finale prizes include luxury trips to South Africa, South America and England courtesy of Mantis and sets of Callaway golf clubs complete with bag and customized fitting.

There are three ways for a team competing in a Super Regional event to make it the final – be the low net winner, the highest fundraiser or raise $10,000 more and automatically qualify. Once teams sign up they are given a dedicated team webpage to personalize and send out to friends, co-workers etc…to ask them to sponsor their team. Essentially teams start competing the minute they sign up! Whilst fundraising is encouraged it is not a prerequisite of taking part. As a fun incentive, teams raising $2,500 or more will be automatically entered into the Fundraisers’ Prize Draw for a chance to win a 7-day ultimate IRISH LINKS golf tour to Ireland.

Proceeds from the Golf Challenge will go towards creating the Els Center of Excellence that will reach out to help children on the autism spectrum across the U.S and internationally.

Registration begins at 9 am, with tee-off at 10 am.

The cost for this event is $125 per player. This price includes entry into all events, 18 holes of golf, access to the driving range before the tournament, riding cart, lunch, dinner and various awards.

There will be an awards presentation and dinner directly after golf at the Golf Course. All proceeds go to The Philip Hart Memorial Fund, a medical initiative established as a 501c3 fund at Duke University Children’s Hospital to research the cause of Addison’s disease and adrenal insufficiency in children.

Payment is due by April 30, 2011. Sign up forms and payments must be received by the deadline to secure your place.

Golf attire is required. No denim is allowed. Soft spikes only.

Minimum age for golfers is 9. All children must be able to keep up with the pace of play and follow all rules of the course and etiquette.

In addition to participation in this prestigious tournament, the winning foursome in the Competitive Division will receive an invitation to the 54-hole Liberty Mutual Invitational National Championship in January 2011 in Pinehurst, NC!

The tradition of the Liberty Mutual Invitational Golf Tournament (formerly the Cadillac Invitational) is to provide participants with a first-class golf experience while promoting blood cancer awareness. The Liberty Mutual Invitational Golf Tournament features an early afternoon shotgun and scramble format. Your registration includes pre-round practice at the driving range, lunch, complimentary on course hospitality stations, cocktail reception, dinner & awards ceremony, gift package and a great round of golf at the esteemed Grandover East Course.

Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the many programs and services of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Western NC Chapter!
