Cardiff and Newport SANDS are please to confirm our 2nd annual golf fundraising tournament will take place,at Peterstone Lakes, Near Newport, on Friday June 29th, 2012.Last year we held a hugely successful event, raising over £4,000 for our charity, SANDS, which aims to support bereaved parents following the loss of a child through stillbirth shortly after birth. As well as providing a local bereavement service by phone, and through monthly meets, we also help local hospitals in the area in providing support for recently bereaved parents. This includes providing memory boxes, we have bought cold fife for local hospital, and training student midwives in bereavement care.

This year we are looking at hosting an even bigger and more successful event. As well as golf competition, we have also arranged a golf trick shot display, as well as further entertainment to be confirmed. Non golfers are welcome to join us for the evening festivities.

Prices are £35 per golfer, or a 4ball team can book their place for £150. Non golfers can come along for the meal.and entertainment for only £15.

Anthony Nolan will once again be holding it’s annual Golf Classic on the world famous Old Course at Sunningdale Golf Club. This prestigious golf event is an important way of raising much needed funds to support the lifesaving work of Anthony Nolan.

Sunningdale’s Old Course was laid out by Willie Park Jnr. He was appointed by the original committee of the Club to build the course in 1900 with the course opening for play in 1901. It retains a high ranking in courses around the world as a fine example of a heathland course. The experience of the Old Course is fantastic from start to finish. The beautiful heathland setting, together with some demanding elevations and no real weak holes provides some of the best golf in the region.

The day features:

Buffet breakfast

Shotgun start (9am)

Pre-lunch drinks

Charity raffle and auction

Delicious three course lunch
