The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) will honor Seth E. Ellis, managing partner at Ellis Law Group P.L., Boca Raton, FL, at its first annual golf outing in Miami on December 5.

AFA will hold “Care on the Fairways” at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa, winner of the four diamond award from AAA. The event includes golf on the resort’s blue monster course, brunch, a silent auction, cocktail reception and awards dinner.

The event will raise funds to support AFA’s programs and services that focus on the practical, educational and financial needs of the growing number of families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses both locally and nationally.

Ellis, who resides in Delray Beach, FL, has worked for many years with families whose loved ones are living with this heartbreaking disease.

The Rotary Club of Brooksville is looking for teams to play in its Annual Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held on December 7th, 2011 at the Brooksville Country Club at Majestic Oaks.

Play will begin at 1:00 PM with a shotgun start and will be played in scramble format.

A Place of HOPE is a charitable healthcare clinic & an emotional trauma center in the Highland Lakes area to assist those who are lacking in health insurance or financial ability to seek medical or emotional help. We are a life line of restoration and support to those who have found themselves in temporary need of medical or emotional help without the ability to pay for these services through no fault of their own.

Our medical clinic offers routine checkups and also sees patients who need prescriptions and who no longer can afford to go to their previous physicians due to their temporary financial situation. We have our own Medical Room staffed with Pharmacists who volunteer their time. Our Medical Assistance Program is designed to help patients who need assistance with their prescription drugs.

“Boston Terrier Tee Off” Golf Tournament to Benefit Boston Terrier Rescue Organization

the Boston Terrier? Friday, October 7, 2011, The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee

will host their first annual tournament at Collins Hill Golf Club in Lawrenceville, GA, referred to

as “one of Georgia’s best kept golf secrets.” The tournament is open to golfers at all skill levels

and is scramble format. Several adorable and adoptable Bostons will be on hand with free licks

of thanks for the golfers’ support. The fun begins at 12 noon with lunch, which is included in the

$80 entry fee, and a silent auction featuring donated items from local businesses. Donations of

cash or items for auction are still needed and greatly appreciated.

“This is the first benefit golf tournament for our organization,” said event coordinator Renee

Ussery, “and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Collins Hill Golf Club for a fun event, while

raising funds for dogs in need.”

The economy has definitely had a negative affect on a number of animals in this country. There

are increasing numbers of homeless, abandoned, and euthanized animals as a result of job loss

and home foreclosures. Volunteers with BTRET work with shelters and organizations around

the southeast to locate and rescue dogs who are then placed in foster homes. While living with

compassionate volunteers, the dogs are cleared of medical issues and prepared for adoption.

The Boston Terrier is recognized as the first American breed by the AKC in 1893. Protecting

these dogs is the primary mission of BTRET, the largest Boston Terrier rescue organization in

the southeast. A 501(c)(3) organization based in Maryville, TN, Boston Terrier Rescue of East

Tennessee has a strong presence in the Atlanta metro area with many adoptable dogs fostered

in the region.

October 22nd is the 7th Annual Arizona Myeloma Network/United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Charity Golf Tournament. After operating Doc Avery’s Haunted House as a family fund raiser for six years, it was apparent that expanding our reach required legally taking the next step. The Tobago House of Assembly Chief Secretary’s Charity Golf Tournament has established itself as one of the biggest three day sporting events on the island of Tobago.

Themed “With Every Stroke We Help Our Folk” and hosted by Mr. Jeffery Azar, this tournament attracts golfers from not only Trinidad and Tobago but also all across the region. Last year’s Tournament attracted players from all over the Caribbean and was captured by “The Prince of Port-of-Spain” Mr. Brian Charles Lara, who is expected to attend this year to defend his title.

This three-day charity golf tournament is scheduled to take place from the 14th -16th of October at the Mount Irvine Golf Course. It is expected to be even bigger and better than last year, as various celebrities have already confirmed their attendance.

Former West Indian Cricketers, opening batsman Gordon Greenidge and fast bowler Ian Bishop are among the field of celebrities who will tee off on Friday 14th in the Johnny Walker Classic (Stable Ford) sponsored by AS Bryden. Other notable participants include, former West Indies wicketkeeper and former T&T Cricket Board president Deryck Murray, Neil Guiseppi and David Pantin.

To launch the ceremony a dinner would be held at Café Coco on the 13th October under the distinguished patronage of The Honorable Chief Secretary Orville London, at this dinner golfers would be briefed on the guidelines of the Tournament.

At this first-class event golfers are treated with a premium gift bag, tasty lunches, tea, snacks, and elegant dinners.

The “Scramble for the Kids” is an event to raise funds for Brookhaven Youth Ranch to build a new cottage on campus. The cottage would enable Brookhaven Youth Ranch to house more young men and work with them in order to build young men into Great Men! All proceeds will go towards the building of this new cottage.

Help Brookhaven expand its ability to work with young men by adding this much needed cottage!

Kelly at 35 years of age has been fighting cancer for over a year. She has been diagnosed with Stage 3a Invasive Duct Cell Carcinoma (Breast Cancer), which has spread between 4/7 lymph nodes!

Oncologist Dr Robert Fein, working with the Center For Hematology and Oncology, has been treating Kelly.

She has gone through chemotherapy treatments from September 2010 to December 2010 and has been subjected to over 30 radiation treatments since March 28 2011.

To reduce her chances of relapse and reduce risk of cancer spreading to different organs, she will be having a total hysterectomy, which is scheduled for August 2011. All surgeries and radiation treatments were performed at St Peters Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.

Along with family and friends, mom (Joan Kontowt), Sis (Denise Gentempo) and special friend Angelo LoGiudice have definitely been a HUGE part of her treatment and recovery.

About Oggie’s United _ Charity Golf Outings

A few years back, I began organizing golf outings to benefit a friend who was suffering from ALS. Since then, I have continued to organize very successful golf outings which raised substantial funds to help someone who was in need of financial assistance during a medical crisis.

The outing is unique, in that, we have multiple flights for male golfers, a flight for female golfers, and prizes galore for both male and female, and afterward fabulous awards meal! All of which allows golfers to have a great time, while supporting very worthy causes.

The organization became know as OUCh and besides golf outing we do Phillies Tailgate Extravaganza’s. They consist of about 300 to 500 people attending a catered tailgate with a DJ, a ticket to the ballgame, and plenty of fun! The Phillies in-turn gives back $2 to $5 per ticket and OUCh donates that to a needy organization or person!

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Northwest Tucson area dance students to further their dance education and performing arts experience.

This four man scramble charity golf tournament features a raffle, silent auction, hole-in-one prizes and “golfer goodies” including food, cigars, and massages among other attractions at every other hole on the course. The purpose of this charitable event is to raise social awareness, empower community involvement, and most importantly increase monetary funding for Georgia’s homeless veterans. This cause is worthy because While most homeless veterans are single unaffiliated men, most housing money in existing federal homelessness programs, in contrast, is devoted to helping homeless families or homeless women with dependent children.

The National Kidney Foundation Cadillac Golf Classic Tournament is a competitive and fun event which calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation.

26 million people have chronic kidney disease and another 20 million are at risk. The purpose of Diveheart is to provide and support educational SCUBA diving and snorkeling experience programs that are open to any child, adult, or veteran with a disability with the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person.

It is the “CAN DO” spirit that Diveheart hopes to instill in all its participants by giving them the confidence and independence that allows them to face their own life challenges and overcome barriers that before might have seemed insurmountable.

Through SCUBA diving, the Diveheart Foundation supports and facilitates programs that teach children and adults with disabilities to fly. Thanks to the wonder of the water column, the oceans and lakes of the world become the forgiving weightless environment of outer space, giving perfect buoyancy to a child or adult who would otherwise struggle on land.

Proceeds from the event will help fund programs and purchase gear to assist children, adults and veterans with disabilities to build self-confidence through the exciting sport of Scuba Diving.

Our inaugural tournament will be hosted by former NFL stars, KEN EASLEY, MACK STRONG, famed SF 49’er and Seahawk CHARLIE YOUNG and the legendary MEADOWLARK LEMON from the Harlem Globetrotters as well as over 20 other professional athletes.

The tournament fundraiser is in support of Greater Trinity Academy, an Early Childhood Learning Academy which has been serving the Everett community for the past 11 years. GTA is committed to providing a high quality, innovative, academic experience to children; stimulating a child’s enthusiasm for learning throughout their educational career and beyond. The majority of GTA’s kids are from underprivileged backgrounds who may not otherwise have the opportunity for such a dedicated educational pre-K experience. This opportunity often sets them well ahead of their peers when they are set to enter the public school system.

Not only is the positive and impactful results showing both on an individual level but also in the awareness of our program on both the state and national level. As exciting as that is, we still need to find creative ways to keep up the high standard of instruction and service to our children. So we are really excited to be hosting our first Celebrity Golf Tournament at Redmond Ridge on Sept. 20. to raise money for our school.

About First Place for Youth

Founded in 1998, First Place for Youth was the first organization in Northern California to provide affordable housing and supportive services to former foster youth, and today is considered a national model for providing permanent housing for high risk youth. The agency works to ensure that all foster youth throughout the state of California have the opportunity to experience a safe, supported transition from foster care. The agency currently serves over 1,700 youth throughout the state of California via a housing program, and employment and education programs that help them gain the skills they need to live independently and succeed on their own.

Every year, Stone Design hosts a golf outing to both honor George Lockerbie’s (Founder of Stone Design) memory and raise money for Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago to combat the horrible disease known as liver cancer. Everyone that attends gets a prize. I understand that because it’s on a Tuesday, it can be difficult to get out of work. That being said, please consider sponsoring a hole. We welcome any donation, though, so please don’t feel locked in, or like you cannot send a donation because it does not fall neatly into our sponsorship. I really hope to see you there! August 22, 2011 – Chandler, AZ – GOLF FOR FOSTER KIDS – BEAR CREEK GOLF COMPLEX IS HOSTING A CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT BENEFITING “ARIZONA FRIENDS OF FOSTER CHILDREN FOUNDATION”

2-Person scramble event with raffles, prizes and Italian dinner Saturday September 24, 2011 beginning at 1 p.m.

Bear Creek Golf Complex will be hosting a charity golf tournament September 24th, on both the Bear (championship) and the Cub (executive) courses benefitting Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation. Bear Creek also asks golfers to bring in a blanket, coat, or other clothing item that will be donated to the Salvation Army in Chandler.

Currently there are over 10,000 children in Arizona’s foster care system, most as a result of abusive or neglectful situations. AFFCF is a (501) © (3) organization, and 100% privately funded. The foundation helps provide the little “extras”, such as music or karate lessons that help foster kids get through this difficult time in their lives. Together, we can help make a child’s life a little better.

The format is a 2-person scramble, each player tees off and then chooses the best ball and plays their ball from there until the ball is holed. We will have various raffles and prizes including “Golf Fore a Year” (golf twice a month for one year), restaurant and other gift certificates. Hole sponsorships are also available, contact the club for details.

The cost is $65/pp on the Bear, $50/pp on the Cub and includes an Italian dinner buffet and live music after. Tournament check-in begins at noon with a shotgun start on the Bear at 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on the Cub. Bear Creek is located at 500 E. Riggs Rd. Chandler, AZ 85249 – ¼ mile east of Arizona Ave.

Hello Everyone, I am the Founder of PINK4CHEE – PINK4CHEE was formed originally to raise funds solely for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer research. However, the need to provide an accessible funding resource for single mothers battling breast cancer became apparent after hearing heart-breaking stories of their financial struggles. Today, P4C focuses on support services that will alleviate the stress and hardships associated with managing a single parent household while undergoing cancer treatments.

On Oct 1st P4C will host our first Cancer Survivors Golf Tournament, this event is not only for breast cancer, but for everyone that has been impacted by cancer; breast, prostate, cervical, uterine, lung, colon, etc.

This annual charity golf tournament benefits the Pacific Coast Sailing Foundation (PCSF) which administers the United States Sailing Center. We have 10 programs in which we help families with financial needs and funds for a child who has to travel to received cancer treatments as well as Family Fun Packs, Funds for Research, “Keepsake Treasures Portraits” for families who would like a family portrait and have no time for taking care of a sick child….We Make That Precious Moment and Memory Happen!

All funds go into the programs and we keep our administrative costs very low….Our goal is to reach hurting children and other organizations that help hurting and sick children…

We offer free concerts, magic shows, we are advocates and travel and speak about the effects substance abuse and violence has on the children in the home, how childhood cancer effects families and speak in prisons and to At-Risk teens about making better choices and creating new relationships that have been broken…

We have BUILDING WISH to open and fund “Adam’s Center for Kids!’ Helping underprivileged and abused children and teens find their hidden talents in the ART of Music, Drama, Dance, Etc.

We are totally focused on kids in SC and anywhere we can reach a child in need..

Your help would be so appreciated…we have so many broken kids from broken homes and so many broken hearts of families with a sick child.

Joyce Glenn (JG) Wagster is a vocalist who uses her music and her life story to impact our state about these social issues and the trauma a family goes through with a sick child…

The East Coast Jumbos is a Non Profit 501(c)(3)Organization whose goal is to provide a positive hockey and social experience for athletes with special needs who wish to pursue the great Sport of Hockey.

Stow Acres Country Club is located just 25 miles west of Boston in the country town of Stow in the heart of Massachusetts apple country.

The beautiful club is distinguished by two award winning championship 18-hole golf courses, the North and South, anchored by a renovated antique Victorian clubhouse.

You will be playing the very popular North Course. This course hosted the 70th U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship and the 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006 PGA Open Qualifier for the Deutsche Bank PGA Championship.

The Registration fee is only $150 per player.

Sunningdale’s Old Course was laid out by Willie Park Jnr. He was appointed by the original committee of the Club to build the course in 1900 with the course opening for play in 1901. It retains a high ranking in courses around the world as a fine example of a heathland course. The experience of the Old Course is fantastic from start to finish. The beautiful heathland setting, together with some demanding elevations and no real weak holes provides some of the best golf in the region.

Tutterow Dancers is one of the premier dance studios in Pinellas County. We believe that a child’s self-esteem, coordination, and poise are enhanced through the art of dance. We encourage personal growth and creative expression while emphasizing proper technique. Our goal is to promote a positive self-imagine in each dancer while teaching the Art of Dance.

Last year was our 1st Through Kyle’s Eyes Foundation golf tournament and we were able to raise over $60,000, this year we would love to double that. Kyle Lograsso is a 9 year old golf prodigy that has played golf with Phil Michelson, Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson and MANY more! He shot his very first hole in one at last year’s tournament.

Music lovers unite! The GRAMMY Museum is proud to host its Vinyl Classic Golf Tournament at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena. The tournament will raise money for the Museum’s mission; supporting music education in Los Angeles. Chance Outreach will be hosting its Tee-it-Up for Teens Golf Tournament this October 24, 2011 at the beautiful Braemar Country Club in Tarzana, California. This fun filled event will benefit our Chance Teen Program that directly supports at-risk youth in the Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside counties. We hope to completely meet our Foster Our Youth Scholarship Fund that will be awarded to a foster teen pursuing higher education for the 2012-2013 school year. It will also support our Chance Mentor Program that connects vulnerable teens with caring community professionals with the hope of creating a support system before and after leaving their households.
