I wanted to make sure you knew that our (new and improved) Golf Tournament for Scholarships will still take place on Tuesday July 12 at the Refuge. A beautiful course, delicious food, five hole-in-one prizes of at least $10,000 value each, and a great cause. We are looking for golfers, teams, sponsors (tee signs, teams, and tournament-level), and donors of gifts for prizes to help us make this 20th tournament the most successful one ever. We truly can use your help and participation in a few key ways. I’ll be brief and bulleted: -Golfers: Teams, individuals, you, your company, people and vendors you know… -Sponsorships: From teams to tee signs to the tournament level, these sponsorships are critical to helping our students. -Donations: Part of the draw (and the fun) of a tournament are the prizes and games. If you or your company are able to donate items for prizes, the raffle, or 144 of an item for the golfers’ bags, we would be so grateful. I’ve attached the brochure for more information. The Franciscan Youth Center is a comprehensive community and school-based youth development program that operates an afer school and summer program that serves 100 children each day, ages 7-16 years. The Center serves children and youth from disadvantaged communities throughout Baltimore City. The program provides components of academic excellence, cultural awareness, recreation and wellness, leadership and career deveopment and family engagement. Opened in 1985, the Center continues to successfully operate programs that meet the educational and enrichment needs of Baltimore’s most challenged children, youth and their famillies.
