Charity Golf Tournaments and Golf Tournament Planning

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) will honor Seth E. Ellis, managing partner at Ellis Law Group P.L., Boca Raton, FL, at its first annual golf outing in Miami on December 5.

AFA will hold “Care on the Fairways” at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa, winner of the four diamond award from AAA. The event includes golf on the resort’s blue monster course, brunch, a silent auction, cocktail reception and awards dinner.

The event will raise funds to support AFA’s programs and services that focus on the practical, educational and financial needs of the growing number of families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses both locally and nationally.

Ellis, who resides in Delray Beach, FL, has worked for many years with families whose loved ones are living with this heartbreaking disease.

Paws 4 You Rescue, a not-for-profit animal rescue organization, will be hosting its 5th annual Putt 4 Paws Golf Tournament on Friday, July 22 at the prestigious Doral Golf Resort & Spa, 4400 NW 87th Ave in Miami. Registration for the golf tournament will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. A reception will be held afterward from 6 to 7 p.m.

This event raises much needed funds for the animals saved by Paws 4 You which include those that are sick, injured, homeless, lost or surrendered. The organization gives these animals a safe environment, professional medical care, training, support, hope and lots of love. Its’ animals are sterilized, vaccinated and ID micro-chipped to prevent future loss.

Miami is faced with a severe pet overpopulation crisis, leading to the euthanasia of approximately 100 animals every day at the Miami-Dade County’s Animal Services facility.

The cost for Putt 4 Paws at Doral is $800 for a foursome and registrations are due by Monday, July 18. Paws 4 You is also seeking tournament sponsors at the $3,000, $1,500 (both include a foursome), $500, and $100 levels.
