| Genre’s Kids with Cancer Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping families living through pediatric cancer at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Our organization began in 2009 with an idea from an 8-year old boy living with leukemia who wanted to help other kids with cancer. His request was that every child with cancer at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh should have a handheld gaming system. Genre (like Henry with a “G”) knew this was helpful in passing the many hours spent in chemotherapy and blood transfusions. We accomplished that goal in 2010 and have since been providing free gaming systems to 8-12 children each month who are newly diagnosed with cancer. As Genre has moved along his journey through pediatric cancer, his ideas have continued to grow and have developed into the many services we provide today. Genre spent 67 days in the hospital in one year, in addition to weekly chemotherapy treatments administered at the pediatric oncology clinic. Other children victims to this devastating disease spend many more. Genre has maintained a positive outlook and wants to reach out to other children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Genre’s Kids with cancer fund has established Project H.E.L.P. (Hands Encouraging, Loving, and Providing) which details the assistance we provide to families living with pediatric cancer. Many expenses associated with pediatric cancer are not medically derived. The burden on families can be devastating, and it is our deepest desire to help in any way we can. |

| BILLY MOCK was a loving Christian with a dynamic enthusiasm for life. His infectiously positive attitude, ever-present smile and vibrant personality literally impacted the lives of thousands of people. Billy began fighting brain cancer in 2005 and touched thousands more lives until his death in 2007 at the age of 13.
The Billy Mock Foundation is a tribute to Billy and his compassion for people, love for life, and passion for sports. Our mission is simply to “help others” which is achieved through the award of scholarships and support of families in need. The Billy Mock Foundation (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) was established in 2008, on what would have been Billy’s 14th birthday, by The Mock Family and Friends. It has already awarded several scholarships, provided financial support to many families and instituted a youth-focused pay it forward program and a junior board. |

| So why the National Kidney Foundation?
In 2002, my then 20-year-old brother, Justin, was diagnosed with kidney failure. For the following five years, Justin was in and out of doctors offices, traveling to different states, changing his diet, searching for anything that could save him. However, the inevitable seemed to be on the horizon – he would need a kidney transplant. Friends and family were all tested to see if they were a match in order to be a donor for Justin. We all crossed our fingers and one donor stood above the rest – our sister, Jenna, would be the one to to save Justin’s life and give him a second chance. In 2006, Justin had a kidney transplant thanks to Jenna, his donor. It was a tough five years leading up to the surgery, and even tougher weeks of recovery to follow post-surgery. But here we are, celebrating the five year anniversary of Justin’s kidney transplant! Justin is strong, healthy and takes nothing for granted! So much of this journey was made possible due to the work done by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). The NKF’s hard work, research and determination deserve credit for the reason I have my brother with me today! The Annual Gdovin Designs Charity Golf Outing is set up for one reason – to give back to the organization that gave Justin so much! We’re trying to combine having a great time with helping a great cause. Lots of fun, great food, plenty of drinks and lots of prizes! |

Charles Michael Steadman Jr., a veteran of the armed forces of the United States of America, was killed in a car accident outside Fort Campbell, Kentucky on August 31, 1993. His wife was critically injured and is still recovering in the York, PA. area. His family and friends to keep his memory alive established the CMS Foundation weeks after his death. Supported by donations and an annual golf tournament, it finances four scholarships and supports the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The scholarships are established at Lock Haven University, Pennsylvania Army National Guard Unit; 228 ENG CO located in Spring City, PA, C.T.E. Allied Health Programs at Montgomery and Chester County and Phoenixville Area High School. The scholarships are given to students who demonstrate the traits and accomplishments similar to Michael. The Army National Guard scholarship is given to a student continuing their education while serving in the Armed Forces. The Lock Haven University scholarship is given to a graduating Lock Haven University student who demonstrates academic and service excellence and is entering Lock Haven’s Physician’s Assistant Program. The Phoenixville Area High School and C.T.E. He attended Phoenixville Area High School and was a standout place-kicker on the football team. He was very active in community service work and was a friend to all who knew him. He was a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club and was involved in their many community service projects. Michael volunteered as a trainer for his high school football teams and instructed the specialty teams. Michael was of good Christian faith, kind, good-hearted, generous, had a great sense of humor, and always willing to help others. Michael cared about people and he loved his Country. Michael served six years at the Pennsylvania Army National Guard Unit, HEADQUARTERS Charlie Battery 1st Battalion, 213th Air Defense Artillery located in Spring City, PA before enlisting into the United States Army at Ft. Campbell, K.Y. Michael graduated from Lock Haven University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Allied Health Science. He was a certified personal trainer and an emergency medical technician. He was extremely active in Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and spent many hours helping others through their community service work. He was a platoon leader and assigned to the Scout Platoon (better known as the Recon Unit) because of his extraordinary physical ability and knowledge of the human body. He was an excellent soldier and cared about his fellow men. He was scheduled to start Ranger School in October when this tragic event occurred. Michael was a graduate on the Air Assault School, was stationed in Fort Benning, GA, A.I.T., and graduated then served at the Combat Medic School in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. | Access Services is a non-profit charitable organization who has been serving children and adults with special needs in Southeastern Pennsylvania for over 30 years. Some of the issues these children and adults are dealing with are physical disabilities, mental illness, domestic situations, drug and alcohol dependency and other health and safety problems. Our mission is to empower and serve people by providing innovative services that help improve their ability to live fulfilling lives in the community.
Our 11th Annual Charity Golf Outing, Dinner and Auction will take place Monday, May 17, 2010 at North Hills Country Club. We are honored to announce the Honorary Chair will be James R. Matthews (Chairman, Montgomery County Commissioners). I am writing to request your consideration of a corporate sponsorship and/or a donation for this event – which raises money to expand our Youth Outdoor Expedition (YOE) program. YOE is a program targeting at-risk adolescents, ages 12-16, who may experience delinquency, truancy, drug or alcohol dependencies, conflicts at home, mental illness, and other health and safety problems. The YOE program of outdoor recreational activities is designed to build character, self-esteem, and leadership while focusing on teamwork, problem solving, overcoming adversity, and conflict resolution. Kids learn how to camp, climb, hike, fish, swim, and canoe, while developing practical outdoor skills like building a fire and cooking. The majority of the kids that participate in this vital program cannot afford to attend and rely completely on community support. How can you help make a difference? • Financial sponsorship ($10,000 Presenting Sponsor, $5,000 Platinum, $2,000 Gold, $1,000 Silver, $500 Bronze; as well as other sponsorship levels) • Attend as a golfer • Financial donations of any amount • Donate auction items, gift certificates, gift baskets, etc… for the luxury silent auction • Table sponsorship for 10 dinner guests (golf participation not required) Not a Golfer? Then join us for dinner after the Golf Outing North Hills Country Club 99 Station Avenue – Glenside, PA 19038 5:30pm Cocktail Reception, 6:00pm Dinner Delicious buffet, special guest speakers, exciting auction and prizes – All for just $55 per person Reserve your table now!
