Charity Golf Tournaments and Golf Tournament Planning

Every year, Stone Design hosts a golf outing to both honor George Lockerbie’s (Founder of Stone Design) memory and raise money for Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago to combat the horrible disease known as liver cancer. Everyone that attends gets a prize. I understand that because it’s on a Tuesday, it can be difficult to get out of work. That being said, please consider sponsoring a hole. We welcome any donation, though, so please don’t feel locked in, or like you cannot send a donation because it does not fall neatly into our sponsorship. I really hope to see you there! This truly is an exciting, fun filled day!

The TPC San Antonio event costs $400 to enter per two-person team ($200pp). This includes the golf, cart, lunch and tournament gifts. Participants will be competing for the chance to qualify for the Grand Finale which will be hosted by Ernie Els in Las Vegas on 23/24 October. Grand Finale prizes include luxury trips to South Africa, South America and England courtesy of Mantis and sets of Callaway golf clubs complete with bag and customized fitting.
There are three ways for a team competing in a Super Regional event to make it the final – be the low net winner, the highest fundraiser or raise $10,000 more and automatically qualify. Once teams sign up they are given a dedicated team webpage to personalize and send out to friends, co-workers etc…to ask them to sponsor their team. Essentially teams start competing the minute they sign up! Whilst fundraising is encouraged it is not a prerequisite of taking part. As a fun incentive, teams raising $2,500 or more will be automatically entered into the Fundraisers’ Prize Draw for a chance to win a 7-day ultimate IRISH LINKS golf tour to Ireland.

Proceeds from the Golf Challenge will go towards creating the Els Center of Excellence that will reach out to help children on the autism spectrum across the U.S and internationally.

Proceeds will support a.) Breast cancer research and community-based breast health and educational programs through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. b.) The District Heights Golf Academy, which provides underprivileged and at-risk youth and senior citizens the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf.

All levels of golfers are welcomed! Depending on your level, you may choose to participate in the golf clinic or play in tournament. All play will be in foursomes, so we strongly encourage you to register along with friends, family and coworkers. If not, you will be included in groups of four.

The tournament will offer great gifts, prizes, contests, a banquet lunch, an auction and an opportunity for networking. This event will be photographed and videotaped for our website and District Heights Cable Station. In addition, Renditions Golf Course is one of the most renowned golf courses in the world, featuring replica holes from courses that have hosted some of golf’s major championships, such as “Amen Corner.” It’s the one place to find eighteen of the most famous major championship holes in golf.

Tee times are at 7:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Scramble – four person teams.

Individual Golfer: $150 – includes green fees, cart, range balls, breakfast/lunch, dinner program and acknowledgement at the award program.

Hole Sponsor: $200 – sign on course and acknowledgement in award program.

Pair Sponsor: $650 – golf for 2, tee or green recognition at one hole, recognition at award program.

Bronze Sponsor: $1,000 – golf for 4, tee or green recognition at one hole, recognition at award program, name on banner.

Silver Sponsor: $2,500 – golf for 8, exclusive tee or green recognition at 2 holes, name on event promotions, at award program and on banner, your logo on Community Reach Center website linked to your website for 3 months.

Gold Sponsor: $5,000 – golf for 8, exclusive tee or green recognition at 3 holes, name on event promotions, at award program and on banner, your logo on Community Reach Center website linked to your website for 9 months.

Platinum Sponsor: $10,000 – golf for 8, exclusive tee or green recognition at 3 holes, name on event promotions, at award program and on banner, your logo on Community Reach Center website linked to your website for one year.

Community Reach Center is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Proceeds from this tournament will assist individuals and families in need of mental healthcare and/or primary healthcare, helping them reach their recovery goals. Over 10,000 individuals were helped last year!

At 11:30 a.m. we officially begin golfing with a shotgun start.

Throughout your day, enjoy complimentary beer, soda, and treats from our snack carts on the course!

We will meet you at the clubhouse for the 19th Hole Party at 4:00 p.m. The party kicks off with a drinks on us followed by a buffet dinner, awards ceremony and a performance by our featured comedian!
