We thank you for taking the time to join us and help raise awareness and funding for such a cause. We hope through research, children affectd with chd’s, as our son Jasper was, will be able to live long and happy lives. |

This is our 2nd annual Charity Golf Tournament. We are raising money to find a cure for Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis (LCA). Gavin Stevens, who is 2 years old, has LCA. He is completely blind, and there is no cure. We are raising money for research and treatment for Gavin, and others who live with LCA. There are only about 3,000 LCA cases in the United States. The Gavin R Stevens Foundation was started in honor, and for him. We hope to help everyone affected with LCA, somehow! |

| It’s time to tee up for Connecticut’s at-risk youth! Our Annual Golf Classic provides critical funding for Rushford’s child and adolescent prevention and treatment programs. The 23rd annual Rushford Golf Classic will be held on June 30th at Lyman Orchards Golf Club, in Middlefield, CT.
10-11 am Registration & Lunch 12 Noon Shotgun Start 5 pm Dinner & Awards Each year, more than 120,000 Connecticut children do not receive the treatment they need for behavioral health disorders. Without treatment, many children fail to fulfill their potential. Many are unable to perform in school and fail to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to succeed, while others develop more severe problems that lead to substance abuse, crime, illness and sometimes death. The good news is that you can help make a difference for thousands of Connecticut youth by supporting our annual golf classic. All proceeds from the event are used to expand and enhance the prevention and treatment programs Rushford provides in the many communities we serve. We hope you will consider participating in this event, whether to golf on the beautiful course, support our tournament through sponsorship, or contribute an item to our silent auction. Please encourage your friends, family and colleagues to support this worthwhile event. A sponsorship and registration form is attached or if you prefer, register online at If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Tashjian at 860-852-1011 or email mtashji@rushford.org. |

| BILLY MOCK was a loving Christian with a dynamic enthusiasm for life. His infectiously positive attitude, ever-present smile and vibrant personality literally impacted the lives of thousands of people. Billy began fighting brain cancer in 2005 and touched thousands more lives until his death in 2007 at the age of 13.
The Billy Mock Foundation is a tribute to Billy and his compassion for people, love for life, and passion for sports. Our mission is simply to “help others” which is achieved through the award of scholarships and support of families in need. The Billy Mock Foundation (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) was established in 2008, on what would have been Billy’s 14th birthday, by The Mock Family and Friends. It has already awarded several scholarships, provided financial support to many families and instituted a youth-focused pay it forward program and a junior board. |

| On September 9th Loews Lake Las Vegas will team up with DonorsChoose.org at the exclusive Golf Club at SouthShore for the hotel’s Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
Founded in 2000, DonorsChoose.org is a nonprofit website where public school teachers post needs for funding for specific educational projects for their students, and donors can choose the projects they want to support. To date, 123,000 public and charter school teachers have used the site to secure funding for $49.5 million in books, art supplies, technology, and other resources that their students need to learn. Through www.DonorsChoose.org, individuals from all walks of life have helped 3.1 million students, the majority from low-income areas. The average teacher spends $2,000-$3,000 of his/her own money for classroom needs. Currently in Nevada there are 305 projects that still need to be funded. To date, Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort has given resources to 12,460 students (roughly $4,000) through contributions on the site. Loews Hotels’ is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Good Neighbor Policy. The Good Neighbor Policy is the company’s formal commitment to our long-standing tradition of understanding our responsibility to the communities where we own and operate hotels. Loews Hotels addresses various issues of social concern and supports charities corporately, and each destination is required to conduct specific activities. Loews Lake Las Vegas Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised over $21,000 for a non-profit dedicated to Modest Needs. As the first hotel partner for DonorsChoose.org, the goal for Loews is to raise awareness of the charity by raising money within the communities in which we do business. Loews has partnered with Donors Choose in order to better serve the educational needs of Nevada students. The event kicks off at 12pm with an 18-hole, 4-person scramble golf tournament, followed by an awards barbeque and silent auction. Entry into the tournament is $150 per golfer or $650 per foursome, and is limited to the first 144 entrants. Each entry includes green and cart fees, lunch, dinner and gifts provided by Titleist as well as vacation giveaways from other Loews Hotel properties. Major sponsors include Touchstone, ValleyCrest, and SteriTech. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available ranging from hole sponsors and auction donors to the title sponsor. Founded in 2000, DonorsChoose.org is a nonprofit website where public school teachers describe specific educational projects for their students, and donors can choose the projects they want to support. After completing a project, the donor hears back from the classroom they supported in the form of photographs and student thank-you letters. |

| Welcome to the Annual Golf Tournament benefiting the boys and girls of Central Texas Children’s Home. Thanks to your generous support of our last tournament you provided just over $6000 to meet the daily needs of our children!
This year’s tournament will be held at the beautiful and fun-to-play Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, Texas. Not only is this a great golf course, but we hope you will respond by playing and sponsoring this event so your kindness will give even more to our boys and girls this year! We’re excited to announce that every player will be given a free round of golf at Teravista as one of the many “thank you’s” for playing in this year’s charity tournament. In addition to the exciting contests and prizes we are preparing for you, we are excited to announce two new contests this year . . . a helicopter ball drop for prizes and a shoot-out . . . in addition to a Silent Auction at the Awards lunch after tournament play. We are thrilled that Rudy’s BBQ is providing breakfast tacos during registration, the putting contest and your chance to warm-up with a free bucket of range balls. Corporate and individual sponsorships are available by contacting our development office (512.243.1386 or carol@ctch.org). Playing in our tournament or sponsoring this year’s event will allow children victimized by abuse, abandonment and neglect or suffering from an at-risk environment, a second chance to enjoy a normal life.
