It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2010 Greater PEATC Open. Located at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club, the new upscale public course was ranked by Golf Digest as number one in Virginia and second in the nation among new courses!

As Virginia’s Parent Training and Information Center since 1978, the Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) has seen the powerful results when families and professionals work in partnership to build better futures for children with disabilities. Over the years, many hopes and dreams for children with disabilities have turned distant possibilities into meaningful realities. PEATC does everything within our power to serve Virginia families and at absolutely NO COST to them. How do we do this? The caring commitment of knowledgeable staff, volunteers, grants, and donations from people like you.

You and your organization have a unique opportunity to help us help families, while enjoying play at Virginia’s very best public golf course: Mattaponi Golf Club.

Mattaponi’s layout features a masterful blend of dramatic multi-tiered fairways and challenging risk-reward holes. Signature holes abound, including the split fairway par 4-11th. A tee shot to the left fairway provides a gracious landing area, but a difficult approach to the left-angled green. A drive to the right, while risky, shortens the approach by 20 yards, and provides a welcoming angle onto the green.

Golf and individuals with disabilities quite often get asked the same question, especially if someone doesn’t know, “What’s your handicap?” Quite ironic, isn’t it? And the very reason we are requesting your support in our tournament. Our grant funding is always tenuous. We need your help to ensure that we are able to continue to serve Virginia’s families to the best of our ability.

We have a sponsorship package to fit just about any budget. Remember, because PEATC is a 501(c)(3) charity, your sponsorship is tax deductible! Please come and join us for a wonderful day of golf, while supporting a great community event and great prizes on the 2nd of October, along with the beauty of the changing of the leaves and crisp fall air on Virginia’s #1 public golf course and #2 in the Nation, Mattaponi Springs!

Sincerely,

Suzanne Hill

It is with great pleasure that we annouce the 2010 Greater PEATC Open. Located at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club, the new upscale public course was ranked by Golf Digest as number one in Virginia and second in the nation among new courses!

As Virgina’s Parent Training and Information Center since 1978, the Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) has seen the powerful results when families and professionals work in partnership to build better futures for children with disabilities. Over the years, many hopes and dreams for children with disabilities have turned distant possibilities into meaningful realities. PEATC has learned from these successes, having worked at the local community and state-levels promoting opportunities for inclusion and curriculum adaptations, culturally competent and family centered services, literacy, seamless transitions and self determination. PEATC partners with numerous state and local community and faith-based organizations, schools, businesses, colleges and universities, and advocacy organizations reaching and supporting families and professionals across the Commonwealth. National dissemination centers, university programs, nationally- recognized experts, are all numbered PEATC collaborators as we ensure families and professionals are receiving and connecting with evidence- based practices that lead to success for students with disabilities.

PEATC does everything within its power to give the very best it has to offer to Virginia’s families and at absolutely NO COST to them. How do we do this? Via grants and donations and always with our fingers crossed while saying a prayer. This is where we need your help as a non-profit 501(c )(3).

Because we only give the very best services to the Commonwealth citizens of Virginia, we wanted you to be able to play at Virginia’s very best public golf course Mattaponi Golf Club.

Mattaponi’s layout features a masterful blend of dramatic muti-tiered fairways and challenging risk-reward holes.

Many of the grants are being taken away and the last thing we want to do is limit our services to Virginia’s families.

We have a sponsorship package to fit just about any budget and remember, because PEATC is a 501(c)(3) charity, your sponsorship is tax deductible! Please come and join us for a wonderful day of golf, while supporting a great community event and great prizes on the 2nd of October, along with the beauty of the changing of the leaves and crisp fall air on Virginia’s #1 public golf course and #2 in the Nation, Mattaponi Springs!
